In Loving Memory

COREY WEAGE
November 15, 1977 — May 5, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Corey Weage, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend. Corey departed this world too soon on May 5, 2026, at the age of 48. Born on November 15, 1977, in Coldwater, Michigan, Corey was a beacon of joy and a source of strength to all who knew him.
Corey’s journey through life was marked by his unwavering kindness and a heart that knew no bounds. Known affectionately around town as the "pay it forward guy," Corey touched the lives of countless individuals with his generosity, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. His motto, "Screw it, let’s turn it on," resonated with his vibrant personality and infectious sense of humor, bringing smiles and laughter to all who crossed his path.
Corey was the cherished son of Phyllis Wonch and Rick Patton. He was preceded in death by his father, Ricky Patton, and his grandmother, Viola June Spring, whose memories he held dear. Corey is survived by his devoted wife, Rosie Sue Collins, and their precious twin sons, who were the center of his universe. His family was his pride and joy, and he embraced his roles as a husband and father with boundless love and dedication.
Corey and Rosie shared a beautiful life together, one filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Their union was a testament to enduring love, and Corey often expressed that his life was complete with Rosie and their sons by his side. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and happiness, a testament to their deep bond and shared dreams.
A proud graduate of the Bronson Jr./Sr. High School class of 1997, Corey carried the values of friendship, loyalty, and perseverance throughout his life. His educational journey laid the foundation for a life well-lived, one that was devoted to making a difference in the lives of others.
Corey’s life was tragically cut short in an untimely accident on his way home from work. Yet, even in his passing, his spirit lives on through the countless acts of kindness he inspired. To honor Corey’s legacy, a memorial fund has been established in his name: The Rosie Collins Prevention Charity. This fund aims to continue Corey’s mission of giving back to the community, supporting initiatives that reflect his deep commitment to helping others.
Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Corey are invited to celebrate his life at a memorial service on May 8, 2026, at 5:15 PM. This gathering will be a time to remember Corey’s warmth, his laughter, and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him.
Corey Weage will be dearly missed but never forgotten. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, a lasting reminder of the power of kindness and the enduring legacy of a life well-lived.
