It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Corey Medina, a beloved son, nephew, and friend, who left this world far too soon on January 27, 2025, at the tender age of 24. Corey was born on March 23, 2000, in New Jersey, and from the moment he entered this world, he brought with him an abundance of joy and laughter that touched the lives of everyone around him. Corey's life, though brief, was filled with moments of joy, love, and service. He was the cherished son of Terry and Vincent Medina, who survive him and hold his memory dear. Corey was predeceased by his loving grandmother, Mary, and his cousin Henry, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms in the afterlife. A proud graduate of Twin Peaks High School in 2018, Corey went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy from October 2020 until January 2023. His dedication to service and his country was a testament to his strong character and commitment to something greater than himself. After fulfilling his duties in the Navy, Corey returned to his hometown, where he began working for a construction company, contributing to the community he dearly loved. Corey was a practicing and dedicated Christian, whose faith was evident in the kindness and compassion he extended to everyone he encountered. He was also a cherished member of a close-knit group of friends who valued his unwavering loyalty and infectious sense of humor. Known for his ability to fill a room with laughter and his million-dollar smile, Corey had a unique gift for uplifting the spirits of those around him. In his personal life, Corey relished spending time with his beloved dog, Harold, and cherished moments with his family, including his aunts, Lisa and Kelsey. His days were filled with the joy of friendship, the satisfaction of a good workout, and the warmth of family gatherings. Corey was a beacon of light, spreading happiness wherever he went. A celebration of Corey's life will be held on February 3, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Twin Peaks Protestant Church, located at 1463 Waterfall Road, Twin Peaks, New Jersey. Family, friends, and all those whose lives Corey touched are invited to attend and share in the remembrance of a remarkable young man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. The Medina family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Twin Peaks Funeral Home and the first responders who valiantly tried to save Corey. Your efforts and compassion have provided comfort during this difficult time.
