January 22, 1964 — June 12, 2026

It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Cordella Lucita Harrigan, who peacefully departed this world on June 13, 2026, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born on January 22, 1964, in the warm embrace of Saint Johns, Antigua and Barbuda, Cordella's life was a testament to love, generosity, and resilience. Cordella was a woman of extraordinary warmth and grace, whose presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew her. Raised by her loving mother, Jenifer Wilson, Cordella learned early on the values of compassion and selflessness, which she carried throughout her life. She dedicated her life to her family and community with an unwavering commitment that was truly inspiring. Her daughters, Celina Walker, Talisha Walker, and Karina Walker, were the center of her world, and she nurtured them with boundless love and wisdom. Cordella's legacy of love extends to her cherished grandchildren: Aneilia Thomas, Kaiya Council, Kadame Amir, Korian Amir, Kye Amir, and Nasci James. Her spirit will continue to guide them, and her stories of resilience will be shared for generations to come. Cordella found joy in community work, often seen baking delectable treats for church events or playing cricket with Antigua's traveling women's cricket team. She was not only a talented baker and an avid cricket player but also a beacon of hope and support for her community. Her generosity knew no bounds; she taught cake baking and sewing classes at her church, sharing her skills and offering encouragement to anyone in need. Her brothers, John Wilson and Linda Harrigan, along with numerous nieces and nephews, recall her as a pillar of strength and kindness. Cordella's gentle spirit and patient nature made her the heart of her family, always ready with a listening ear and a comforting word. Even in her battle with cancer, Cordella displayed a resilience and courage that inspired everyone around her. She faced each day with grace, never allowing her illness to dim the light she brought into the lives of others. Her strength was a guiding force for her family, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and to never give up. In memory of Cordella, a private funeral ceremony will be held, honoring her wishes for an intimate gathering of those closest to her. Her life was one of service, love, and unwavering commitment to those she held dear. Cordella Lucita Harrigan leaves behind a legacy of compassion and strength that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she was deeply loved and profoundly cherished.
