Connor, born on May 3, 2007, in Chicago, Illinois, was a beloved son to Ava Simmons and Edward Hills. His journey on this earth concluded on August 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, passion, and dedication. Connor's academic journey was marked by excellence. He graduated with honors in Science and Mathematics from Ashley Ridge High School in Summerville, SC. This achievement was a testament to his sharp intellect and unwavering determination. Following his graduation, Connor embarked on a promising career as an apprentice for the Science department at Illinois State University. His work there was driven by a deep commitment to learning and contributing to the field he loved. A spirited and active member of the Salem Baptist Church of Chicago, Connor was not only a participant but a beacon of positivity and community spirit. Known for his passion for basketball, Connor spent many joyful hours on the court, often organizing games and gatherings that fostered peace and camaraderie in his community. His artistic talents found expression through drawing, a creative outlet that complemented his analytical mind. Connor's family was the cornerstone of his life. He leaves behind his loving parents, Edward and Ava, and his cherished siblings, Thomas Hills, Edward Hills Jr., and Melissa Simmons. His surviving grandparents, Terrence Hills with Jenelle, Deidra Simmons-Glover, and Beverly Wells, aunts, uncles, a very special friend Felicia Pete as well a host of friends remember him with fondness and pride. Though predeceased by his grandfather, Richard Simmons, and uncle, Quincy Hills, Connor carried forward their legacy of kindness and resilience. His extraordinary character, defined by warmth and generosity, will be missed deeply by all who met him. Connor's ability to bring people together, to inspire and uplift, was truly special. His commitment to making a difference in his hometown of Chicago exemplified his selflessness and vision for a better world. A private funeral service to honor Connor's life will be held on September 5, 2026, at 10:00. While the ceremony will be intimate, the family invites those who wish to honor Connor's memory to make a donation to a charity of their choice, a gesture that resonates with Connor's spirit of giving. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has surrounded them with love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. As they reflect on Connor's life, they find solace in the cherished memories and the indelible mark he left on their hearts.
