It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Connie Pritchett Chase, who left this world on May 19, 2026, just ten days shy of her 86th birthday. Born on May 29, 1940, in the serene landscapes of Duchesne County, Connie embodied a life rich in love, service, and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Connie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Russ Frank Chase, and she now joins him in eternal rest. Her legacy is carried forward by her loving children: Clifford Mayhew, Mark Chase, Kirk Chase, Theresa Kinne, Joanna and Jason Bench, Russ Mayhew, Nannette Chase Sepulveda, and Clint (Rusty) Chase. Her memory will also be cherished by her cherished grandchild, Braden Bench. Connie is survived by her dear siblings, Richard Pritchett and Don Pritchett, and was predeceased by Jerry Pritchett and Cleo Eddy.
Connie's life was a tapestry of diverse work experiences. She brought dedication and warmth to every role she undertook, from her early mornings cleaning at the Roy Eagles, to her service at a dry cleaner in Ogden, and her many years as a friendly face behind the cashier's desk at Rite Aid. Her work was more than just a job; it was a testament to her unwavering work ethic and her commitment to her community.
After the passing of her beloved Russ, Connie found solace and purpose in her faith, becoming an active member of the Latter Day Saints Church. Her dedication was evident as she served in the LDS Temple for many years, having received her Temple recommend. Her faith journey was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and a profound sense of peace.
Connie's life was enriched by her cherished friendships, particularly with her dear friends Jackie and Elaine, and her daughter Jody. Together, they shared countless walks and shopping trips, creating memories filled with laughter and joy. Connie's sweet spirit, kindness, and unselfish nature were constants in her life, always opening her heart and home to those in need.
Above all, Connie was a beacon of love and hospitality. She and Russ were known for their open hearts, always ready to welcome family and friends into their home whenever they needed a place to stay. Her legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire her family and all those who knew her.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Connie's Intermountain Hospice Team, including Nurse Jamie, Nurse Tamie, Social Worker Hanna Miller, and Chaplain Darron Fletcher, for their compassionate care and support during Connie's final months. Special thanks also go to hospice volunteer Takiko May, whose weekly visits brought Connie much joy and comfort. The family is also grateful to Connie Pritchett and the ward for their assistance with the graveside service and luncheon, ensuring a fitting farewell for a truly remarkable woman.
A service to celebrate Connie's life will be held on June 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens Cemetery, located at 1718 E Combe Road. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived, filled with love, faith, and kindness.
