Connie Chapman Kitto May 20, 1953 – July 9, 2026 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie Chapman Kitto, who departed this world peacefully at her home on July 9, 2026, due to complications from a stroke. Connie was born on May 20, 1953, in Centerville, Iowa, to Arthur "Bud" and Winnie Chapman. Connie's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the enduring strength of family bonds. She was married to her beloved husband, Scott Kitto, for 52 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their journey was one of unwavering support and devotion, a true partnership that inspired all who knew them. As a devoted mother, Connie was blessed with two children, Wahnita Lahmon (David) and Steven Kitto, who were her pride and joy. Her nurturing spirit extended to her family, which she held at the center of her world. Connie was a beloved grandmother to six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through them. Family meant everything to Connie, and she shared a special bond with her siblings: brothers Mitchel, Michael, Arthur, Jerry, and Jayson, and sisters Denisa, Tommy, Theo, and Linda. Connie adored her many nieces and nephews, and her home was always a welcoming place filled with warmth and laughter. Connie was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Winnie Chapman, her brother Lonnie, and her sister Michelle. Her generous spirit, infectious laughter, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In honor of Connie's life and in keeping with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony has been arranged. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Connie's memory to a charity of your choice. Connie Kitto Chapman's life was a beautiful journey marked by love, dedication, and an unyielding commitment to her family. Though our hearts ache with her loss, we find solace in the countless memories she has left us and the love that will forever remain in our hearts.
