October 20, 1951 — April 6, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Connie Jean Bagley, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Connie departed this world on April 6, 2026, after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. She was 74. Born on October 20, 1951, in Gary, Indiana, Connie entered the world with a bright spirit that would touch the lives of everyone she encountered. She was the cherished daughter of Mary Elizabeth Morris and Stanley Soohey, who predeceased her and now welcome her into eternal rest. Connie was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Deloss Bagley Jr., with whom she shared a life filled with love and laughter. Their union brought forth their greatest joy, their daughter Fallon Bagley, who, alongside her husband Joseph, continues to carry forward the legacy of love and kindness that Connie instilled in her family. A proud graduate of River Forest High School, Connie went on to build a career rooted in dedication and compassion. She was known not only for her professional diligence but also for her genuine care for those around her. Her work was more than just a career; it was a testament to her character and her unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Connie’s sense of humor was legendary among those who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to light up a room with her infectious laughter, and her generosity knew no bounds. Her kind soul left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Connie leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly: her daughter Fallon and son-in-law Joseph; her siblings Barbara Spencer, Sharon Szwedo, Richard Soohey and his wife Shirron, Mary Watts, Dennis Soohey and his wife Jackie, and Bonnie Soohey and her husband Charlie. She also leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart. In addition to her immediate family, Connie was predeceased by her dear sister Bobbie. Though they are no longer with us, their memories live on in the hearts of all who loved them. Connie’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. In keeping with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life and legacy. In the words of her family, "She fought silently, loved endlessly, and deserved more than what life handed her." Connie’s memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, humor, and generosity will forever remain in our hearts. As we bid farewell to Connie Jean Bagley, let us celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the precious memories she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those she now joins in eternity.
