Connie D. Clark
June 5, 1952 — October 6, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Connie D. Clark, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 6, 2026. Born on June 5, 1952, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Connie was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her 74 years.
Connie was the beloved daughter of Obed and Annie Moyer and was predeceased by her dear brothers, Orvile, Bernie, Eugene, Freddy, and Junie, as well as her sisters, Pauline and Bulah. She is survived by her devoted husband, Graffious R. Clark, with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised two sons, Graffious W. Clark and Brandon L. Clark, who, along with their spouses and children, brought immense joy to Connie's life. She was the proud and doting grandmother of five grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her warmth and humor.
A graduate of Everett High School in 1970, Connie pursued her passion for beauty and attended Johnstown Beauty School for two years, graduating with pride. Her career path was one of compassion and dedication; she served as a van driver for special needs children for a decade before becoming a teacher's aide, a role she fulfilled with love and commitment for 20 years until her retirement in 2015.
Connie was a longstanding member of the PennWood Bible Church for 49 years, where her faith and generosity touched many lives. Her interests were varied and vibrant; she took great pleasure in caring for her home, cooking, and tending to her garden. Her flowers flourished under her nurturing touch, much like the many lives she impacted with her kindness. Above all, Connie treasured the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
Known for her quick wit and infectious laughter, Connie had the remarkable ability to lift others up and bring joy to those around her. Her spirit and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Connie's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Connie's memory, as a testament to her lifelong commitment to helping others.
As we say goodbye to Connie, let us remember her for the love and laughter she brought into our lives, and let her legacy of kindness continue to inspire us all.
