With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Connie Chase, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on May 19, 2026, at her home in Collinston, Utah. Connie embraced life for nearly 86 years, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. Born on May 29, 1940, in the serene landscapes of Duchesne County, Utah, Connie was the cherished daughter of Ohya Pritchett and Louetta Searle Pritchett. Her formative years were marked by a nurturing family environment, where she developed the values of compassion and generosity that she carried with her throughout her life. Connie's life was enriched by her marriage to Russ Frank Chase on May 2, 1984. Together, they created a loving home, welcoming both biological and stepchildren into their hearts. Predeceased by her beloved husband Russ, their union was a testament to enduring love and mutual support. Connie was predeceased by her child Clifford G Mayhew and stepchildren Mark Chase, Kirk Chase, and Theresa Kinne, as well as her siblings Cleo Eddy and Jerry Pritchett. Her parents, Ohya and Louetta, also preceded her in death, but their legacy lives on through Connie's enduring spirit. She is survived by her devoted children Jody Bench (Jason Bench) and Russ Mayhew, who were blessed by her guidance and unwavering love. Her stepchildren, Nannette Chase Sepulveda and Clint (Rusty) Chase, carried her love forward into their own lives. Connie's cherished grandchildren, Braden, Misty, and Brandon, were her pride and joy, each holding a special place in her heart. Her brothers, Richard Pritchett and Don Pritchett, remain as pillars of her family, cherishing the memories they shared. Connie's career was a tapestry of diverse experiences, where she touched many lives. From her days at the Roy Eagles and Hampton's Dry Cleaners to her role as a cashier at Rite Aid in Roy, she approached each job with a steadfast work ethic and a smile that brought warmth to those around her. Her reliability and kindness made her a familiar and friendly presence in her community. Connie found solace and purpose in her faith, especially after the loss of her dear husband. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in the LDS Temple, where her spiritual devotion became a guiding light and source of peace in her later years. Her life was rich with cherished relationships and joyous gatherings. Connie held a special bond with her grandson Braden, spending countless hours in playful activities and shared adventures. Her close friendships with Jackie and Elaine were a source of happiness, filled with laughter and shared experiences. Connie's relationship with her daughter Jody was a treasured connection, marked by shopping trips, meals, and shared nights at Jody's home. Her son Russ shared over a decade of companionship with Connie, creating memories through movie nights and shared meals. Connie was known for her sweet spirit, generosity, and unselfish nature. Her home, shared with her husband Russ, was a sanctuary of warmth and love, always open to friends and family who needed a place of refuge. A service to honor Connie's remarkable life will be held on June 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens Cemetery, located at 1718 E Combe Road, South Ogden, Utah 84403.
