Colton Boyd Johnson was born on January 13, 1989, in the Bronx, New York, and departed this life on September 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Though his time on earth was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of those around him will never be forgotten. Colton was the cherished son of George Johnson and Marie Valdez, who raised him with strong values, a compassionate heart, and an unwavering determination to overcome life’s challenges. From an early age, Colton displayed a natural ability to connect with others through his kindness, humor, and genuine concern for those around him. He attended James Monroe High school in New York, where he was known for his outgoing personality and strong work ethic. Colton valued education and personal growth, always striving to improve himself and provide a better future for those he loved. He developed a passion for working with his hands and building things, which led him to pursue a career in construction and skilled trades. Through dedication and perseverance, he became a respected member of his profession, earning the admiration of coworkers and friends alike. Colton took great pride in his work and was known for his reliability, craftsmanship, and willingness to help others. Above all else, Colton’s greatest accomplishment was being a father. He was a devoted and loving father to his two beloved children, Miracle and Maurice, who were the center of his world. Whether sharing laughter, offering guidance, or creating cherished memories, Colton embraced fatherhood with endless love and devotion. His children were his greatest source of joy and inspiration. Colton was also a beloved brother to Jquan Johnson, Nicole Johnson, and Jakeal Johnson. The bond he shared with his siblings was built on loyalty, love, and countless treasured memories. He was always ready with words of encouragement, a helping hand, or a smile that could brighten any day. Those who knew Colton will remember his infectious laugh, generous spirit, and remarkable strength. He had a gift for making people feel welcomed and valued. His resilience throughout life’s hardships, including his battle with cancer, was an inspiration to all who witnessed it. Even during difficult times, Colton faced each day with courage, faith, and hope. Colton leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, compassion, and perseverance. He will be deeply missed by his parents, children, siblings, extended family, friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. May we honor his memory by carrying forward the kindness, determination, and love that he shared so freely.
