Collin Compton

Collin Compton, cherished son, devoted husband, and loyal friend, left this world on September 6, 2026, at the age of 34. Born on February 24, 1992, in Fort Worth, Texas, Collin's life was a testament to perseverance, compassion, and unyielding love despite life's challenges. Collin was the beloved son of Julie Compton and the late David Compton. He is predeceased by his father, David, and his brother, Chantz, who both held special places in his heart. He is survived by his loving wife, Mia, with whom he shared a forever kind of love since their marriage on April 19, 2019, by the clear waters of Comal River in New Braunfels. Even though Mia and Julie knew he loved them deeply, they both knew he might have loved his dog Dozer even more. But that's ok...he was a mighty fine dog and was Collin's constant companion. A graduate of Crowley High School in 2010 where he played football, Collin went on to attend Texas State University, where he met Mia and forged more lifelong friendships. He could effortlessly bring laughter into any room with his quick wit and flawless Will Ferrell impressions. Collin's love for his friends was as vast as his love for adventure; he adored chilling on the river, hiking majestic mountains, and kayaking, always finding solace in nature's embrace. A fervent Dallas Cowboys fan, he remained loyal despite the heartaches they sometimes brought. Collin liked a Sunday grill and found joy in the intricate worlds of "Game of Thrones" and "Dune." His soul resonated with the rhythms of the blues and the powerful words of Kendrick Lamar. Collin was a fierce protector of the underdog, never hesitating to step into the fray for those who needed him most. His heart was especially tender towards his neighbors who were experiencing homelessness, offering not just his time and resources but genuine compassion and care. He wanted to know them by name. He loved with his whole heart, a quality reflected on his wedding day when friends spanning from his early childhood to his college days stood by his side, celebrating the love and loyalty that defined him. This included Mallory and Cyndee as honorary sisters and grooms-women. No friend left out. Collin's too short life will be honored on September 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM at First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, located at 800 W 5th Street. Family, friends, and all who were touched by his spirit are welcome to join in celebrating his life. Collin's journey, though marked by loss, was filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the light he brought into the lives of all who knew him.
