Born on July 19, 1957, in the vibrant city of Honolulu, Hawaii, Colleen was the beloved daughter of the late George Kekahuna Kamakea Sr. and Josephine Kamakea. Her life was a testament to the rich cultural heritage and family values instilled by her parents. She was also predeceased by her brother, George Kamakea Jr., whose memory she cherished deeply. Colleen’s journey was marked by dedication, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to her community. She devoted 40 years of service to the City of Tallahassee, where her colleagues and the citizens she served came to know her as a beacon of integrity and kindness.
