April 4, 1992 — April 7, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Cole Aaron Doren, who left this world far too soon on April 7, 2026, at the age of 34. Born on April 4, 1992, in Toledo, Ohio, Cole was a beacon of light and joy, whose life, though brief, was filled with passion, dedication, and love. Cole was a devoted husband to his cherished wife, Kristen Doren (née Radtke), whom he married on June 8, 2023, and a doting father to his precious daughter, Violet Nina Marie Doren. Known for his warm smile and kind heart, Cole’s most treasured role was as a father, and he took immense pride in being the best dad to his sweet baby Violet. A graduate of Swanton High School in 2010, Cole furthered his education at the University of Toledo. His love for learning led him to a career in education, where he became one of the town's most beloved teachers. Cole was passionate about sports and had a special talent for coaching football at Anthony Wayne Schools and Swanton Local Schools. He also served as a physical education teacher at Cardinal Stritch before finding his place at Northstar Steel Company. His colleagues and students admired him for his dedication, enthusiasm, and the genuine care he showed to everyone around him. Cole's love for sports was infectious, whether he was cheering on the Buckeyes, the Boston Celtics, or his beloved Tottenham soccer team. He shared this passion with his Uncle Jason, with whom he spent countless hours watching games and sharing laughs. Rock 'n' roll music was the soundtrack to Cole's life, when shredding the guitar he found joy and solace in its rhythm and lyrics. Cole was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Harold and Lucille Doren, his grandma, Mary Louise Doren, and his best friend, Jason Lee. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his devoted parents, Jeff and Bonny Doren; his siblings, Callie (Nicole) Doren, Lane (Mairen) Doren, special Uncle Jason Doren; and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends who were blessed to know him. Although his time with us was tragically cut short, Cole's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew him. His family requests that, in lieu of donations be made to Violet’s College Fund, ensuring that Cole's dreams for his daughter's future live on. The Doren family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. They ask that you keep Kristen and their sweet baby Violet in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this unimaginable loss. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Cole's life, reflecting the deep love and respect of his family and friends. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the beautiful memories Cole left behind. His spirit remains with us, forever cherished, forever loved.
