In Loving Memory of Cody Figueroa It is with profound sadness and gentle remembrance that we announce the passing of Cody Figueroa, who left this world far too soon on March 19, 2026, at the tender age of 17. Born on September 23, 2008, in College Station, Cody was a beloved son, a cherished friend, and a bright light to all who knew him. Cody was the treasured son of Ollie and Liz Figueroa, who nurtured his vibrant spirit and supported him in all his endeavors. From a young age, Cody exhibited a zest for life and an insatiable curiosity about the world around him. His early years were filled with the laughter and joy typical of a young boy discovering the wonders of life, yet Cody had a wisdom beyond his years. He attended Anderson-Shiro Junior/Senior High, where he was not only a dedicated student but also a remarkable athlete. Cody's passion for sports was evident in everything he did; he played with heart, determination, and a sportsmanship that inspired his teammates and coaches alike. Whether on the field or in the classroom, Cody's commitment to excellence and his infectious enthusiasm left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed his path. Beyond his accomplishments in school and sports, Cody found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a profound love for fishing, often spending quiet afternoons by the water, casting his line and waiting patiently, relishing the peace that nature provided. In these moments, Cody found a tranquility that reflected his gentle soul. Cody was a dedicated student who balanced his academics with his many interests. His love for learning was matched only by his love for his friends and family, with whom he shared countless adventures and endless laughter. Cody's ability to connect with people and make them feel valued was a testament to his kind heart and empathetic nature. Tragically, Cody's life was cut short in a car crash, a loss that leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who loved him. Though his time with us was brief, the memories he created and the lives he touched will endure forever. Cody's spirit will live on in the stories shared, the love felt, and the legacy he leaves behind. A service to celebrate Cody's life will be held on March 31, 2026, at 4:30 PM. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Cody are invited to gather in remembrance and to honor the beautiful life he lived. We come together not only to mourn his passing but to celebrate the joy and inspiration he brought into our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Cody's memory to a charity of choice that supports youth sports or educational programs, causes that were close to Cody's heart. As we say goodbye to our beloved Cody, let us carry forward his love of life, his warmth, and his unwavering kindness. He will forever be remembered as a beacon of joy and love, and his legacy will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Cody. You will be deeply missed and eternally cherished.
