October 8, 1947 — May 7, 2026

With hearts full of love and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Clora Sue North, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world surrounded by her family on May 7, 2026. Born on October 8, 1947, in the quaint town of River, Kentucky, Clora was a beacon of warmth and kindness to everyone she encountered. Clora was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Jack Davis Sr. and Edith Louise Locniskar, her cherished sister, Charlotte Anne Hale, and loving husband Robert North. While their absence left a void, Clora always carried their memories close, sharing stories and lessons from her upbringing in Kentucky with those she loved. She is survived by her siblings Jack Davis Jr., Alan Hale, Peggy Pickard, loving daughter, Louise Zinn, and her adored grandchildren, Robert Campbell, Nikki, and Calee Zinn, and great grandchildren, Rylen, Adalina, Link, and Jensen Ehlenfield who were the lights of her life. Her grandchildren remember her not just as a grandmother, but as a friend and confidante who would crochet them blankets infused with love and warmth, wrapping them in the comfort and security of her affection. Clora's life was a testament to the power of compassion. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she touched many lives with her generous spirit. Whether through her hobby of crocheting, where each stitch was a gesture of care, or her wise words often accompanied by a gentle reminder that "It is what it is," Clora's presence was a gift to all who knew her. Her legacy will be celebrated on June 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lockwood Missionary Baptist Church, where family and friends will gather to honor a life well-lived. It will be a time to remember her laughter, her unwavering support, and the countless ways she enriched our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to local charities in River, Kentucky, that support the community Clora held so dear. Her spirit will live on in the kindness we extend to others, just as she taught us. As we say our goodbyes, we hold onto Clora's words and the profound simplicity they offered during life's challenges: "It is what it is." May her soul rest in peace, embraced by the eternal love she so freely gave.
