Clifton (Mick) Bartlett

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clifton "Mick" Bartlett, who departed this world peacefully on May 13, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on June 3, 1936, in the scenic town of Kalispell, Montana, Mick lived a life full of adventure, love, and laughter. Mick was the cherished son of William and Pearl Bartlett, who instilled in him the values of hard work and kindness. Though they preceded him in death, along with his brother Raymond "Buzz" Bartlett, sister LaVerna Bucholz, and nephew Randi Krause, their memories always held a special place in his heart. In 1959, Mick married the love of his life, Bonnie Fenby, embarking together on a journey that would span over six decades. Their love was a testament to commitment and partnership, and they built a beautiful family together. Mick is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie, his devoted sons Dale (Teresa) Bartlett and Tim (Martha) Bartlett, and his treasured granddaughter Mallory Bartlett. His legacy further extends to his great-grandson, young Thatcher Bartlett, who brought immense joy to Mick's later years. Mick's work ethic was unparalleled. He spent his life navigating the roads as a logger, a long-haul truck driver, and dedicating 25 years of service to Harris Transportation, from which he retired in 2005. His colleagues remember him as a reliable and jovial presence, always ready with a story or a helping hand. In his leisure time, Mick found solace and joy in the open roads of Arizona and Montana, driving his Kenworth and towing his 5th wheel. The Arizona desert was a cherished playground where he loved riding his ATV, feeling the freedom and thrill of the wide-open spaces. A man of remarkable character, Mick was known for his willingness to help anyone in need. His teasing nature and infectious laughter could light up any room, and his striking blue eyes were often a topic of admiration. He had a gift for making people feel special, and his warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Mick also leaves behind his sister Louise Ambrose, sister-in-laws Gladys (Maynard) Rost and Nola Krause, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends, all of whom he adored and who adored him in return. The family invites all who knew and loved Mick to join in a celebration of his life on August 8, 2026, at the Gordon and Luckow Lake House across the highway from Swan Chapel in Swan Lake, Montana. The gathering will take place from 3 PM to 6 PM, a time to share memories, laughter, and tears as we honor the remarkable man Mick was. As we say goodbye to Mick, we hold onto the memories of his laughter, his stories, and the love he shared with all of us. His legacy will forever be etched in our hearts, a reminder of a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
