In Loving Memory

Clifford Maxwell Rutledge
January 12, 1962 — April 28, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Clifford Maxwell Rutledge, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on April 28, 2026, at the age of 64. Born in the snowy embrace of Minnesota on January 12, 1962, Cliff's journey through life was marked by boundless love, quiet strength, and a steadfast dedication to family and friends.
Cliff was the cherished son of Edward and Alice Rutledge, who predeceased him and whom he now joins in eternal peace, alongside his dear son, Kyle Frohm. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 37 years, Carla Jean Frohm Rutledge, who stood by his side through life's ups and downs since their union on September 2, 1989. Together, they raised two wonderful sons, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Cliff's life was a testament to devotion and hard work. He dedicated 31 years of his career as a skilled construction worker, where his commitment and expertise left an indelible mark. Yet, his true joy was found beyond the workbench, in the simple pleasures of life: the roar of his 1968 Camaro, the tranquility of a serene fishing spot, the thrill of a hunting expedition, or the excitement of a football game. These passions were not only hobbies but also a way for Cliff to connect with those he loved.
To know Cliff was to love him. A man of profound kindness, he made friends effortlessly and was never too busy to make time for those he cherished. Whether it was a quiet dinner with Carla, a spirited conversation with his sons, Dustin and Micah, or cheering from the sidelines at his grandsons' baseball games, Cliff's presence was a constant source of warmth and encouragement. His legacy is carried on by his son Dustin, his wife Micah, and their three beautiful children, Ryker, Riley Marie, and Slater, who will forever hold his memory close.
Cliff's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony, honoring his wishes for an intimate gathering of those he held dear. His family takes comfort in the outpouring of support and love from all who were touched by his generosity and kindness.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Cliff not for his death but for the vibrant life he led. He taught us the beauty of simple joys, the importance of family, and the value of unwavering kindness. Though he has left us too soon, his spirit lives on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the embrace of his family, and the countless hearts he touched.
May his soul find peace, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
