Clifford Maxwell Rutledge January 12, 1962 – April 28, 2026 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clifford Maxwell Rutledge, who left us unexpectedly on April 28, 2026. He was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and a friend to all who knew him. Cliff's journey began in the serene landscapes of Minnesota on January 12, 1962, a place that nurtured his indomitable spirit and love for the great outdoors. Cliff was the beloved son of Edward and Alice Rutledge, who predeceased him and have surely welcomed him with open arms. He was also predeceased by his son, Kyle Frohm, whose memory Cliff carried with him every day. Cliff's legacy of love and laughter lives on through his surviving family: his devoted wife of 37 years, Carla Jean Frohm Rutledge; his son Dustin and wife Micha; and his three adored grandchildren, Ryker, Riley Marie, and Slater, who were the apples of his eye. Professionally, Cliff dedicated 31 remarkable years to his work as a SCWI, where he was not only respected by his colleagues but left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with. His commitment to his career was only surpassed by his love for his family and his passion for life. An avid outdoorsman, Cliff found solace in the simplicity of nature. He was happiest with a fishing rod in hand or tracking deer through the woods, sharing stories and creating memories. His love for football was matched only by his enthusiasm for working on his prized 1968 Camaro, a testament to his patience and meticulous care. Yet, it was his family that truly made his heart sing, whether he was cheering from the stands at his grandson's baseball games or sharing meals with his sons. To know Cliff was to love him; his warmth and kindness were infectious, and his spirit was an unwavering beacon of friendship. Cliff and Carla's love story was one for the ages, a partnership forged on September 2, 1989, that withstood the test of time. Their marriage was a testament to unwavering love and companionship, a bond that enriched the lives of those around them. In accordance with Cliff's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor his life. While we cannot gather as a community to celebrate his legacy, let us each take a moment to reflect on the joy and kindness he brought into our lives. Clifford Maxwell Rutledge's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will forever be held in the hearts of those he touched. As we say goodbye, let us honor him by carrying forward the kindness and generosity he exemplified every day. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Cliff's memory, continuing his lifelong commitment to helping others.
