Clifford Hollis April 16, 1970 – February 8, 2026 With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Clifford Hollis, who departed this world on February 8, 2026, after courageously battling illness. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Clifford was a beacon of laughter and love to all who knew him. He graced this earth for 55 years, leaving a legacy of joy, resilience, and unwavering affection. As a young man, Clifford attended Shabaz High School, where he not only received an education but also met his high school sweetheart, Debbie Roland. The two married in 1988, sharing a journey filled with love and companionship until their paths diverged in 1999. Despite life's challenges, Clifford's heart remained open, and his spirit undeterred. Clifford's life was blessed with the treasures of family, although he faced the profound loss of his beloved daughters, Arnetta Hollis and Aquarius Larkins, who predeceased him. Through these trials, Clifford found strength and solace in his surviving family, including his cherished partner Debbie Roland, his supportive brothers and sisters, and his two adored grandchildren. Passionate about the simple pleasures of life, Clifford found peace and joy in fishing and the serene embrace of sitting by the water. He was also an avid video game enthusiast, often immersing himself in virtual worlds where his humor and strategic mind thrived. Clifford's sense of humor was legendary, a gift that brightened the lives of those around him and a testament to his enduring love for all. A celebration of Clifford's life will be held on February 25, 2026, at Whigham Funeral Home, located at 580 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Newark, NJ 07112. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out with love and support during this difficult time. Your kindness and outreach are a testament to the love Clifford shared and the lives he touched. As we gather to honor Clifford's memory, let us carry forward his legacy of laughter, love, and resilience. May we find comfort in the stories shared, the tears shed, and the laughter remembered, forever grateful for the time we had with this extraordinary man.
