It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Claudia Mckithen, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on January 14, 2026, at the age of 69. Claudia was born on February 6, 1956, in Florence, South Carolina, to the late Earl and Clarita Wilson.
Claudia was a woman of grace and compassion, whose life was rooted in the values of love, family, and faith. She was the cherished wife of Lorenzo Mckithen, with whom she shared a remarkable marriage that began in the early '90s. Together, they built a life filled with joy and devotion, raising two beautiful children, James and Susan, who were her pride and joy.
Claudia's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family. She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. Her home was always open, a sanctuary of warmth and laughter, where family gatherings were filled with love, stories, and Claudia's famous cooking.
Predeceased by her siblings Boonie, Earl Jr., Rosa, and Pearl, Claudia remained the heart of her family, holding dear the memories and traditions they shared. Her legacy is one of resilience, kindness, and unwavering faith, qualities she instilled in her children and grandchildren.
Claudia bravely faced her illness with a strength that inspired all who knew her. Her gentle spirit and loving nature left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was a devoted member of her church community, where she found solace and strength in her faith, and she was always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand to those in need.
