With heavy hearts and profound respect, we announce the passing of Claudia Elaine Head, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on April 26, 2026, at the age of 60. Claudia succumbed to her brave battle with colon cancer, leaving behind a legacy of courage, kindness, and unwavering love. Born on September 10, 1965, in Memphis, Tennessee, Claudia was the cherished daughter of Mary Ann and Louis T. Jenkins, both of whom predeceased her. She was nurtured in a home filled with love and warmth, alongside her siblings Jacob Jenkins, Betty Jenkins, and Carla Armstrong, who held a special place in her heart throughout her life. Claudia found her soulmate in Randolph Head, and together they celebrated 45 years of marriage, marking their union on March 12, 1981, in their beloved hometown of Memphis. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership, characterized by mutual respect and shared dreams. A devoted mother, Claudia is survived by her two treasured children, Teasha Head and Thad Head, who were her pride and joy. Her nurturing spirit and gentle guidance shaped their lives, instilling values of compassion and integrity. The joy of Claudia's life was further amplified by her four adored grandchildren: Carter Davis, Aliyah Davis, Zakyia Head, and Zuria Head. She embraced her role as a grandmother with open arms and a full heart, creating countless cherished memories that will forever be held dear by her grandchildren. Her legacy continues through her seven great-grandchildren, who will grow up with stories of her love and laughter. Claudia's educational journey began at Central High School, where she graduated with fond memories and lifelong friendships. Her thirst for knowledge and dedication to learning were evident throughout her life, inspiring those around her. Despite the challenges she faced, Claudia's strength and resilience never wavered. She approached her illness with grace and dignity, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Her courage in the face of adversity was a testament to her indomitable spirit and unwavering faith. Claudia's warmth, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to listen and offer comfort, making everyone feel valued and understood. Her legacy is one of love and kindness, a beacon that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind. A private family service will be held to honor Claudia's life, with a public celebration of her life planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to cancer research organizations, in memory of Claudia's courageous fight. Claudia Elaine Head will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
