It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Claude Peters Jr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who departed this earthly life on June 13, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on March 4, 1963, in Nashville, Tennessee, Claude was the cherished son of the late Claude Peters Sr. and Mary Peters. Claude was a man who wore many hats throughout his life, each with grace, dedication, and an unwavering sense of purpose. His early days were spent in the vibrant embrace of Nashville, where he cultivated a passion for life that was as infectious as his smile. He was a devoted family man, preceded in death by his parents and his dear brother Rodney Peters, to whom he remained deeply connected through cherished memories. Claude's life was enriched by the love he shared with his wife, Marilyn Monroe Peters, whom he married on May 17, 2014. Together, they celebrated 12 blessed years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Though they had no children together, Claude's legacy lives on through his children from previous unions: Christian Craziness, Jamonte Graham, Blair Peters, and Brice Peters. His family circle extended to include his ex-wife, Joyce Peters, and his supportive uncle, Dave Peters, along with his wife. Friendship was another cornerstone of Claude's life. He was blessed with the unwavering companionship of his close friend, Gordon, whose presence brought joy and comfort to Claude's journey. Professionally, Claude was a man of remarkable diligence and integrity. For a decade, he served as a Medical Supply Courier for Owens & Myers, followed by 12 years as a dedicated Truck Driver Courier and trainer for Accelerators Inc., where he was admired for his work ethic and mentorship. His colleagues remember him not only as a great worker but also as an inspiring trainer who left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Outside of work, Claude's zest for life was evident in his love for motorcycle racing, a pursuit that thrilled him for 25 exhilarating years. His passion for speed and adventure was matched only by his devotion to faith, as a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Nashville for 12 years, where he found community and spiritual nourishment. A service to honor and celebrate Claude's life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Davis & Campbell Funeral Home, located at 1404 Jefferson Street, Nashville, TN. As Claude's family and friends gather to remember his remarkable life, they are comforted by the words of Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Claude Peters Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. As we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, we take solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
