Claude Pauly

October 31, 1955 — September 28, 2026

Claude Pauly, a man whose life was as vibrant as his smile, his passing was a bit untimely at his home on September 28, 2026, after a valiant battle with multiple cancers. Born on October 31, 1955, in the picturesque town of Bergerac, France, Claude lived a life full of adventure, love, and joy. Claude was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Jacques Jean and Marie Ines Pauly. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy White-Pauly, whom he married on February 12, 2025, though their loving partnership began on December 26, 2014. He leaves behind his dear stepdaughters, Samantha Kamen and Nicole Scozzari-Engman, along with her husband, Thomas, and his treasured step-grandsons George, Henry, Ian, and Asher. Claude is also survived by his brother, Alain Pauly, who shared many of life's journeys with him. His professional life was as diverse and exciting as his personal endeavors. From instructing windsurfing and scuba diving in the Caribbean with Club Med to owning an exotic car repair shop, Claude's career was a tapestry of remarkable experiences. However, he found his most enduring professional passion in real estate, where he spent over three decades dealing in farms and large tracts of land in the serene beauty of Ocala, Florida. Claude's interests were as vast as the ocean he loved. An avid enthusiast of all things water-related, he found joy in windsurfing, water skiing, and scuba diving. He was a lover of the slopes with a passion for downhill skiing and hang gliding. His love for tennis and polo in South Florida and Ocala was well known, as was his enthusiasm for thoroughbred racehorses. Claude's heart raced alongside the powerful engines of his cherished Porsche and Corvettes, and he found freedom on the open road atop his ninja motorcycles. Traveling through France, his homeland, was one of his greatest pleasures. Claude was a man of few words, but his wonderful smile and stunning blue eyes spoke volumes. He was a beacon of support to those he loved, always ready with a story that would light up a room. Music was his constant companion, and he had a special dance for every occasion. His love for life was infectious, embodying the true spirit of "Joie de Vivre." A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Claude's incredible journey. Details will be shared with family and friends in due course. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, for their exceptional care, which gave Claude and his loved ones precious additional years together. In his memory, donations may be made to the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Claude's legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever sail on the winds of our memories.
