March 2, 1959 — June 19, 2026

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarence Terry Reid, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Clarence peacefully left this world on June 19, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones, at the age of 67. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on March 2, 1959, Clarence was the precious son of Doris Flowers Reid and the late Clarence Henry Reid. He was the second child in a lively household that was filled with laughter, music, and love. Growing up in Bridgeport, Clarence developed a passion for music that would become a defining aspect of his life. His love for the rhythmic beat of the drums and the melodic strum of the guitar was a testament to his artistic soul and creativity. Clarence's big heart was matched only by his love for his family. His mother, Doris, was the cornerstone of his world, and he was a devoted son who cherished her deeply. Clarence was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by his siblings: Derek Reid, Donna Reid Harden/Johnson, Beverly Reid Walton, Robert Reid, Patty Reid, Veronica Reid, Alesia Reid Stewart, and Tiffany Reid. His presence in the lives of his siblings was a source of joy and comfort. Clarence was also a cherished uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, who will forever remember his warmth, humor, and love. Additionally, he was a great-uncle, admired by a new generation of great-nieces and nephews. Clarence was known for his generous spirit and his genuine kindness. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to bring joy to those around him was a gift that he shared freely. Whether through a shared tune, a kind word, or a comforting hug, Clarence left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His love for music was not just a hobby but a way of life. Clarence could often be found playing his guitar or drumming away, losing himself in the rhythm and melodies that spoke to his heart. He believed in the power of music to heal, to unite, and to express the deepest emotions that words alone could not capture. Clarence was a man of integrity, compassion, and unwavering loyalty. His life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew him. While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the memories of his laughter, his music, and his love that will forever resonate in our hearts. A private family service will be held to honor Clarence’s life, with a celebration of his life and music to be arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Clarence's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others. Clarence Terry Reid will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the music he loved and in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, embraced by the love of his family and the melodies of a life well-lived.
