Clarence Jerome Reid (aka Terry), a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. peacefully left this world on June 19, 2026, at the age of 67. Surrounded by family and loved ones. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on March 2, 1959, Clarence was the precious son of Doris Flowers Reid and the late Clarence Henry Reid. He was the second child in a lively household that was filled with laughter, music, and love. Growing up in Bridgeport, Clarence developed a passion for music that would become a defining aspect of his life. His love for the rhythmic beat of the drums and the melodic strum of the guitar was a testament to his artistic soul and creativity. Clarence's big heart was matched only by his love for his family. His mother, Doris, was the cornerstone of his world, and he was a devoted son who cherished her deeply. Clarence was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by his loving mother Doris Reid, life long partner Edith, his siblings: Derek Reid, Donna and brother n law Wayne Johnson, Beverly and brother n law Shawn Walton, Robert and sister n law Donesia Reid , Patty Reid, Veronica Reid, Alesia and brother n law William Stewart, and Tiffany Reid. He is also survived by his Aunt Edna & uncle David Hamilton, aunt Shirley Dingle and uncle Gary Green. His presence in the lives of his siblings was a source of joy and comfort. Clarence was also a cherished uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, who will forever remember his warmth, humor, and love. Also survived by a host of cousins & family members. Clarence was known for his generous spirit and his genuine kindness. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to bring joy to those around him was a gift that he shared freely. Whether through a shared tune, a kind word, or a comforting hug, Clarence left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His love for music was not just a hobby but a way of life. Clarence could often be found playing his guitar or drumming away, losing himself in the rhythm and melodies that spoke to his heart. He believed in the power of music to heal, to unite, and to express the deepest emotions that words alone could not capture. Clarence was a man of compassion, and unwavering loyalty. His life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew him. While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the memories of his laughter, his music, and his love that will forever resonate in our hearts.
