Clarence T. Clark
December 11, 1948 — April 26, 2026
Clarence T. Clark, a beloved husband, devoted family man, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away at home on April 26, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on December 11, 1948, in Winston-Salem, NC, Clarence was the son of Elsie Sherrod and Frank Wells Clark, who instilled in him the values of kindness, integrity, and hard work that he carried throughout his life.
Clarence shared a remarkable life with his beloved wife, Carolyn Lewis Clark, whom he married on June 28, 1997. Their union was a testament to enduring love, spanning 58 wonderful years together. Carolyn was his partner, confidante, and the love of his life, and together they created a beautiful family legacy that continues to thrive.
A proud graduate of Paisley High School, Clarence dedicated 38 years of his career to the American Red Cross, where he served as a Faculty Coordinator. His colleagues remember him for his quick wit, humor, and unparalleled work ethic, qualities that made him not only an invaluable team member but also a joy to work with.
Clarence was a passionate lover of HBCU college sports, cheering enthusiastically for his favorite team, Winston-Salem State University. His zest for life was evident in his love for the game and the community it fostered, and he often shared this passion with his family and friends.
Surrounded by a loving family, Clarence leaves behind his devoted wife, Carolyn, their five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories of his laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love. Though his parents, Elsie and Frank, as well as dear family members Franklin Fair and Janet Robinson, predeceased him, Clarence's legacy of love and laughter continues to shine brightly through those who survive him.
A celebration of Clarence's life will be held on May 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Russell Funeral Home. Family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched are invited to come together to honor a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
Clarence T. Clark's journey on this earth may have concluded, but the impact he made will endure for generations to come. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
