Clarence Elvin Gamble

Clarence Elvin Gamble, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, was born on January 18, 1956, in Adairville, Kentucky. He peacefully departed this world on August 8, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and comfort of his home. Clarence was the son of Cornelia Gamble and the grandson of Marion and Lucy Gamble, who have preceded him in death. He is preceded by his aunt, Gereal Lee Green, and cousin, Clifford Green, (Tudy). He is survived by his sisters, Mary Lancaster of Denver, Colorado, and Marion Gladys Washington of Russellville, Kentucky. Clarence's legacy continues through his many nieces and nephews: Teneoda Yarbrough and her husband Rodney, Tanya Russell, Dameoda Washington, Tina Thomas, Mardricus Washington and his wife Paula, Brooke Dowlen, Devonta Washington, Sedale Shannon, Sebastian and Xavier Russell, as well as Jeramiah, Amir, Isaac, Kyzur, and Kenslyn. A special caregiver and friend, Oshia Wilson, alongside numerous friends and extended family, will forever hold Clarence's memory close to their hearts. Clarence's educational journey began at Adairville School, where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to hard work and service. He spent his career as an upholstery and factory worker, known for his dedication and craftsmanship. Beyond his professional life, Clarence was a man of faith. He confessed his belief in Christ at City Church International under the guidance of Pastor Larry D. Coleman. He found joy and purpose in serving his community, particularly through the van ministry and community outreach programs, which were close to his heart. His absence will be profoundly felt by those who knew him. A service to honor and celebrate Clarence's life will be held on August 12, 2026, at Townsend Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 4058 Halls Store Road, Russellville, Kentucky. The family of Clarence Gamble wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their support, presence, and acts of kindness during this time of mourning.
