It is with heavy hearts and deep appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Clarance Maddox, who left this world peacefully on October 1, 2026, at WellStar Hospital. Born on February 22, 1949, in Gainesville, Georgia, Clarance's journey through life touched the hearts of all who knew him. Clarance was the beloved son of the late Paralee Litscomb-Maddox and Clarence Maddox Sr. He was also predeceased by his cherished brother Wyane Maddox, sister Mary Maddox, and daughter Grenada Maddox. Despite these losses, Clarance found strength and purpose in his family, and he dedicated his life to them with unwavering love and commitment. For 45 years, Clarance shared a beautiful marriage with his devoted spouse, Charlotte Rucker. Together, they built a family rooted in love and support, nurturing their two daughters, Quinada Goss and Jameka Maddox. His legacy of love continues with his four treasured grandchildren: Namon, Jhonteaz, Indeya Finch, and Sharmar Lumpkin, who brought immense joy and pride into his life. Clarance was a cherished brother to David Maddox, Dough Maddox, and Linda Sutherland, who, along with her husband Norman, held a special place in his heart. His laughter, kindness, and wisdom will be dearly missed by his siblings, who were his lifelong companions and confidantes. Throughout his life, Clarance embodied the virtues of compassion, integrity, and dedication. He was a guiding light to those around him, always eager to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His passions extended beyond his family, as he was actively involved in his community, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. In honor of Clarance's generous spirit, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice. Clarance Maddox's life was one of profound love and devotion, and though he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those he touched. May we all find comfort in the memories we shared with him and strive to live by his example of love and kindness.
