Cindy Smith, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on July 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family in her cherished home. Born on March 31, 1962, in Cottage Grove, Oregon, Cindy was the treasured daughter of Donald and JoAnn Tschritter. Her life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Cindy's journey began when she met the love of her life, Gregg E Smith, and at the tender age of 17, they embarked on a beautiful partnership that spanned decades. Together, they welcomed two wonderful children, Summer and Jacob, and built a life filled with joy and purpose. Cindy and Gregg shared a passion for golf, a pursuit that took them from managing Ranch Hills Golf Club in Mulino, Oregon, to owning and operating Auburn Center Golf Club in Salem, Oregon. Cindy's warmth and infectious laugh were the heart of the club, where she was renowned for her exceptional customer service and her ability to turn strangers into friends. Cindy's life was filled with treasured moments spent with her family and friends. Her home was a beacon of warmth and hospitality, where her smile could light up a room, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Above all, Cindy was a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren: Justin Hoover Jr., Jayden Hoover, and Ariziah Smith, who were the joy of her life. Cindy was predeceased by her parents, Donald and JoAnn Tschritter, her brothers, Kevin and Raymond Tschritter, and her beloved husband, Gregg. She is survived by her daughter, Summer Hoover, and son-in-law, Justin; her son, Jacob Smith, and daughter-in-law, Dez; and her three adoring grandchildren, who will continue to carry her legacy forward. A celebration of Cindy's life will take place on October 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Hickory Spoon, located at 8724 Golf Club Rd SE, Aumsville, OR 97325. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of choice, reflecting Cindy's generous spirit and her desire to make the world a better place.
