February 12, 1960 – May 29, 2026 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Cindy Lynn (Maitland) Garcia on May 29, 2026, at her cherished home. Born on a crisp winter's day in Michigan on February 12, 1960, Cindy graced the world with her warmth, kindness, and a heart of gold that touched everyone she met. Cindy was the beloved daughter of Jon and Mary Maitland, who instilled in her the values of love, family, and kindness that she carried throughout her life. She was a devoted wife and homemaker, sharing a beautiful life with her husband, Adrian "Chuco" Robert Garcia. Together, they celebrated life's moments with joy and adventure, often embarking on bike runs that invigorated their spirits and brought them closer. Her life was a testament to the importance of family and the simple joys of living. Cindy found immense happiness in celebrating events with her loved ones, where her laughter and vivacious spirit were ever present. She was the heart of her family, always ready to fulfill any task with enthusiasm and grace. Her adventurous soul and boundless kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Cindy's legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Adrian; her cherished daughter, Charlotte; and her precious grandchildren, Lily and Levi, who brought her endless joy. She was a beloved sister and a guiding light to her nieces and nephews. Her family also includes three stepdaughters, Yvette, Gina, and Ruthie, who held a special place in her heart. Cindy was a woman who embraced life fully, enriching it with her presence and love. Her memory will be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was a beacon of kindness, and her adventurous spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. A service to celebrate Cindy's remarkable life will be held on June 20, 2026, at the Perez Family Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor, to share stories, laughter, and love as we remember the incredible woman Cindy was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Cindy’s name to a charity close to her heart, one that embodies the love and compassion she so freely gave to others.
