Cindy Lorraine Williams

April 16, 1967 — July 7, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cindy Lorraine Williams, who went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2026, at the age of 59. Cindy was born on April 16, 1967, in the serene town of Tanana, Alaska, and from her earliest days, she radiated a warmth and kindness that touched everyone around her. Cindy was the cherished daughter of Edith Thomas (Moses) and the late Wayne Williams. She was predeceased by her beloved father, her sister Jennifer Kay Williams, her grandparents Carl and Alice Moses, Sophie Williams, and her uncles Robert (Bobby) Moses and Carl Moses Jr. Cindy's spirit will forever be carried in the hearts of her surviving family: her devoted mother Edith and step-dad Chester Thomas; her brothers Clinton Williams, Paul Dennis, and Nicholas Dennis; her sister Christine Dennis; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, godchildren, and cousins whom she loved deeply. Raised in the communities of North Pole and Chalkyitsik, Cindy graduated from high school in Chalkyitsik before settling in Fairbanks. She was a woman of genuine compassion and was known for her infectious laughter and radiant smile that could light up any room. Cindy had a natural ability to make others feel loved and valued, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her favorite moments were spent surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories and playing cards, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Cindy's family was the center of her universe, and she made it her mission to stay connected, always checking in and visiting whenever she could. She formed deep bonds with the caretakers at Denali Center, where she lived for the past 17 years. The staff, especially Nurse Diana and CNA Nurse Katie, became like family to her, providing care and love that was a cornerstone of Cindy's life. A service to celebrate Cindy's life will be held on July 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. viewing and 12pm service at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, located at 1029 1st Ave., Fairbanks, AK. With a cover dish to follow in the Parish Hall. The family of Cindy Williams wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Denali Center for the exceptional care and warmth extended to Cindy. Thank you also to everyone who assisted with the burial arrangements, your kindness and support have been truly appreciated. Cindy Lorraine Williams leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. Though she will be greatly missed, the joy she brought to our lives will remain in our hearts forever.
