June 13, 1964 — April 2, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Cindy Croan, who left this world on April 2, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family after courageously battling various health issues. Born on June 13, 1964, in England, Cindy's life was a tapestry of love, resilience, and warmth that touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Cindy was the cherished daughter of the late John and Shirley Bigelow, who instilled in her the values of love, kindness, and compassion. She was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Cathy and Tina, whose memories she held dear throughout her life. Cindy's legacy continues through her devoted husband, Rod, with whom she shared a beautiful journey since their marriage in January 1985. Together, they nurtured a family filled with laughter and joy, raising two wonderful sons, Stephen and Joseph, who were the pride of her life. A proud alumna of John Jay High School, Class of 1982, Cindy dedicated her earlier years to being an exceptional mother, a role she embraced with passion and dedication. Later in life, she ventured into the workforce, where she worked diligently for six years before retiring to savor the precious moments of life with her family. Cindy's heart was as expansive as her smile, qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. Her love for planning family gatherings was surpassed only by her talent in the kitchen, where she found joy in baking and cooking for those she loved. Watching movies with her family was one of her favorite pastimes, a simple act that brought her immense happiness. Family was the cornerstone of Cindy's life. She went above and beyond to ensure that those in her life felt cherished and loved, a testament to her generous spirit and nurturing nature. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. To honor Cindy's remarkable life, a service will be held on April 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Finch Funeral Chapel, located at 13767 US-87, La Vernia, TX 78121, United States. We invite all who knew and loved Cindy to join us in celebrating her life and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Cindy's memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Cindy Croan will forever be remembered as a beacon of love, a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a friend to many. Though we grieve her loss, we find comfort in the beautiful memories she left behind and the love she so generously shared. Rest in peace, dear Cindy, knowing that your spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
