In Loving Memory

Chuck Brady
January 5, 1965 — July 15, 2026
Charles Jude Brady was born on January 5, 1965 to Chuck and Edna (Val) Brady in Cherry Hill, NJ. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Bloomington, MN in 1983. After high school, Chuck earned his certification as an Emergency Medical Technician so he could volunteer with the Bloomington Rescue Squad. During that time he worked for a non-emergency medical transport company and trained to become a licensed paramedic.
After receiving his paramedic license, he began working for ALF Ambulance providing emergency medical care and transportation for the communities of Apple Valley, Lakeville, and Farmington. During his first year at ALF, Chuck and his colleagues began a program that allowed them to keep teddy bears in their ambulances to give comfort to children experiencing emergencies.
In 2009 Chuck joined the Allina EMS family when they combined with ALF. In addition to his regular paramedic responsibilities, Chuck was a well respected Field Training Officer, making sure that new paramedics always put the care of the patient first.
Outside of work, Chuck enjoyed helping family and friends with carpentry work, from building a workbench to designing and constructing outdoor sheds and decks, and many projects in between.
Chuck passed away July 15, 2026 at the age of 61.
He'll always be remembered for his love of all things train. As a teenager he built a model train layout in his parents basement that began with a 4'x8' sheet of plywood and grew from there. That love continued into adulthood with road trips to visit train yards, depots, and to go on historic train rides.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Chuck Brady and Val Brady.
He is survived by his brother Patrick, sisters, Maureen, Katie, and Brady (Colleen), nieces Hannah and Belle, numerous cousins, and the friends that became his chosen family.
Blessed be his memory among us today.
