Chrystal Boddie

It is with profound sadness yet gratitude for a life beautifully lived, that we announce the passing of Chrystal Boddie, who departed this world peacefully on September 12, 2026, at Wellstar Kennestone in Atlanta, Georgia. Born on April 4, 1947, Chrystal graced the world with a presence that was as vibrant as it was compassionate. Chrystal was the cherished daughter of Virginia and Cecil Revell, who have predeceased her, along with her beloved husband, Jasper Boddie, with whom she shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Richard Waller, Laura Waller, Cecil Revell, John Revell, and Willie Joe Revell. She is lovingly survived by her devoted son, Anothy Boddie, and her adored grandchildren, Jessica Boddie and Seirra Boddie, who were the light of her life. Chrystal also leaves behind her dear siblings, Peggy Waller, Minnie Waller, Isabelle Ford, and Dendra Revell, who will miss her profoundly. Chrystal was a proud graduate of Ruth Carter High School in Talbotton, Georgia. She dedicated her career to helping others through her work at the Roosevelt Institute in Warm Springs, Georgia, where her contributions touched many lives and her colleagues became lifelong friends. An active member of Leverette Hill Baptist Church in Warm Springs, Georgia, Chrystal served as an usher, always greeting everyone with her fun-loving personality and warm smile. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she found great joy in her church community. Chrystal's family has chosen to honor her memory with a service on September 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., held at McCoy Funeral Home, located at 20 Leverett Hill Rd, Warm Springs, GA 31830. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of one's choice, in memory of Chrystal. In the words of her family, "God saw her getting tired, and a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered 'come with me.' She suffered much in silence. Her spirit did not bend. She faced her pain with courage until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us, but her fight was not in vain. God took her to his loving home and freed her from her pain." Though our hearts ache from this physical separation, we take comfort in knowing that Chrystal is now absent from the body and present with our Lord. Her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
