In Loving Memory

Christopher Washington
January 7, 1987 — May 10, 2026
It is with heavy hearts yet spirits filled with gratitude for having known him, that we announce the passing of Christopher Washington. Born on January 7, 1987, in the vibrant community of San Bernardino, Chris brought joy to all who crossed his path until his untimely departure on May 10, 2026.
Chris was the beloved son of Christina and Albert Washington, now reunited with them and his grandparents, Mary Francis Dicks and Albert Washington Sr., in eternal peace. He leaves behind a legacy of love and joy cherished by his siblings, Curtis Tyrell Washington, Michelle Barnes, and Alexandre Washington. His presence will forever be remembered by his adored nieces, Alexandra Washington, Lynniah Washington, Alajah Washington, and Genesis Barnes, whose lives he enriched with laughter and warmth.
A proud graduate of San Bernardino Valley College, Chris completed his associate's degree in business management in 2016. He pursued his career with dedication and passion, serving as a manager at both Ralphs and Safeway for over eight years. His commitment to his work was only rivaled by his devotion to his community and his spiritual home, Faith House of Prayer. Sundays were a special time for Chris, where he found solace and joy playing the drums, his rhythms echoing his vibrant spirit.
Chris was a man of diverse interests who reveled in the simple pleasures of life. He was a fan of the classic martial arts films of Bruce Lee and Jean-Claude Van Damme, often found binge-watching these action-packed adventures. His love for music extended beyond listening, as he enjoyed writing his own compositions and sharing his talent on the drums. For Chris, laughter was the essence of life, as evidenced by his fondness for Tyler Perry's "House of Payne," which never failed to bring a smile to his face.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Chris experienced firsthand his unique way of showing love—through laughter. He believed that humor was the glue that held relationships together, often sharing unexpected jokes or a burst of contagious laughter. His favorite farewell, "Be Breezy!" accompanied by a peace sign, is a reminder to us all to carry his joyful spirit forward.
In accordance with the family's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Chris's life. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shown an outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. As we celebrate Chris's life, let us remember the joy he brought into the world and keep his laughter alive in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Christopher Washington. Your legacy of love and laughter will forever be a guiding light in the lives of those you touched.
