Christopher Ward, a soulful musician and beloved family man, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 4, 2026, after a brave battle with colon cancer. Born on June 18, 1975, in Memphis, Tennessee, Christopher's life was a melody of love, laughter, and music that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Christopher was the cherished son of Thomas and Mary Ann Ward. He was preceded in death by his siblings, John Ward, David Ward, and Tanisha Ward, with whom he now joins in eternal rest. He leaves behind his loving wife, who was his rock and constant companion throughout his life, and his two beloved children, David and John. Christopher was a proud grandfather to two beautiful grandchildren, who brought immense joy and light into his life. A graduate of Melrose High School, Christopher's passion for music was evident from an early age. He was a talented musician, devoting much of his time to playing in a band where he shared his love for blues and R&B with the world. A gifted songwriter and guitarist, Christopher's music was a testament to his creative spirit and deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Known for his infectious sense of humor and a penchant for laughing at fat jokes, Christopher had an extraordinary ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. His warm smile and gentle spirit were a comfort to many, and he had a unique gift for making everyone feel at ease in his presence. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor and celebrate Christopher's life. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to a charity of your choice that supports cancer research, reflecting Christopher's hope for a future without this devastating disease. Christopher Ward's legacy will live on through his music, his family, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and humor. Though he may have left this world, his spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who loved him.
