Christopher David Chewning

July 12, 1996 — October 27, 2026

Christopher David Chewning, a vibrant soul and beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on October 27, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on July 12, 1996, in Philadelphia, PA, Christopher's life was a tapestry of joy, resilience, and love that touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. Christopher was the cherished son of David Chewning and Kathleen McFall (Hasson). He was deeply loved by his brother Craig Chewning, and his stepsiblings Erin, Amy, and Fiona. His beautiful soulmate, Emma-Jean Maura, was his constant companion and greatest joy. While his passing leaves a profound void, Christopher's spirit lives on, carried forward by the memories shared with his family and friends. Christopher's journey took him to Limerick, N. Ireland, where he graduated from Saint Anne's in 2014. He embraced his new home with warmth and enthusiasm, quickly becoming an integral part of the community. His career as a stone mason, which began in 2017, was not just a job but a craft he honed with dedication and pride. Christopher's work was a reflection of his character—strong, enduring, and crafted with care. An avid boxer since 2015, Christopher's passion for the sport was matched only by his love for laughter and life. Known for his infectious smile and the laughter that could light up any room, Christopher possessed an extraordinary ability to uplift those around him. His presence was a beacon of positivity, a gift he shared freely with everyone he encountered. Christopher was predeceased by his grandfathers, Peter Chewning and John Hasson, and his grandmother, Kathleen Hasson. Their memories were treasures he carried close to his heart, guiding him throughout his life. A service to celebrate Christopher’s life will be held on November 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's R.C. Church, located at 42 Londonderry Rd., Limerick, N. Ireland. Family and friends will gather to honor a remarkable life and bid farewell to a beloved soul. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Christopher's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his spirit of generosity and kindness. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time. As they navigate the days ahead, they take comfort in knowing that Christopher will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to a life lived with love and laughter.
