Born on August 12, 1967, in Lynchburg, Virginia, Christopher was a man whose life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those around him. Christopher was the beloved son of the late Gilbert Horace "Gil" Brooks and Linda Malott Brooks Paris. He carried forward their legacy of warmth and compassion, touching everyone he met with his gentle spirit and his genuine smile. A proud alumnus of Radford University, Christopher excelled as a golfer, playing on a scholarship and being an active member of Phi Sigma Kappa. His passion for learning led him to pursue a master’s degree from Liberty University, after which he embarked on a successful career in finance. Christopher served as the Vice President of Saxton Mortgage Services for many years, where his professionalism and dedication were admired by colleagues and clients alike. Christopher's life was enriched by his love for golf and travel, pursuits that took him to beautiful places and allowed him to forge lasting friendships around the world. He was known for his thoughtful nature, always extending a kind word or gesture, whether in person or through his heartfelt presence on social media. He leaves behind his cherished fiancée, Whitney Aimee Justice, and his beloved daughter, Katherine Brooks, who meant the world to him. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Brooks and sister-in-law, Amy Brooks; his niece, Sara Brooks; and his uncle, Joe Malott Sr., and his wife, Cam. Christopher's family was his greatest joy, and he remained deeply connected with them throughout his life, always nurturing those bonds with love and care. Christopher's legacy as a deeply loving, caring individual will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His gentle spirit, his kindness, and his unwavering dedication to his family and friends will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held on what would have been his 59th birthday, August 12, 2026. Details regarding the service location will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Christopher's memory to a charity of your choice, spreading kindness just as he did throughout his life.
