Christopher Brian Tate

Christopher Brian Tate, born on July 3, 1972, in Memphis, TN, peacefully departed this world on August 20, 2026, at Methodist University. Chris, as he was fondly known, lived a life full of love and dedication to his family and community. Chris was the beloved son of the late Albert and Margie Tate, who undoubtedly welcomed him into their arms once again. He is predeceased by his cherished grandson, Messiah Ray Henderson, whose memory he held close to his heart. A proud graduate of White Station High School, Class of 1990, Chris was known for his unwavering loyalty to friends and family, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His laughter and warmth left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor his legacy. His children, Ember (Sean) of New York, Ejaaz of Paris, TN, Kaitlin of Houston, TN, Christina of Southaven, MS, and Cameron, will forever hold memories of their father close. His grandchildren, Maverick and Triston, were the light in his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Chris is also survived by his dear sister Angie, and his nieces and nephews, ArCadia, Tony, Tongela, and Jakiya, all of whom he adored and supported throughout their lives. Chris's compassion and kindness extended beyond his immediate family, as he was a steadfast friend and neighbor. He had an unyielding spirit and found great joy in simple pleasures, whether it be a family gathering or a quiet moment in nature. In honor of Chris's generous spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice. This gesture will continue his legacy of giving and supporting causes close to his heart. As we remember and celebrate the life of Christopher Brian Tate, let us carry forward his legacy of love, generosity, and kindness.
