In Loving Memory of Christopher Bandon Adams December 24, 1980 – March 16, 2026 With heavy hearts and profound admiration, we announce the peaceful passing of Christopher Bandon Adams, who left this world on March 16, 2026, at his cherished home in Oxford, Ohio, after a valiant and inspiring battle with pancreatic cancer. Christopher's courageous spirit granted him time beyond his prognosis, a testament to his indomitable will and zest for life. Born on December 24, 1980, Christopher came into the world in Oxford, Ohio, as a beacon of joy to his parents, Robert Adams and Kimberly Compton. From a young age, Christopher exhibited the warmth and kindness that would define his existence. His deep compassion and unwavering dedication to others were hallmarks of his character, and he became known as a person who never met a stranger. Christopher's educational journey led him to Miami University, where he graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts in 2002. His time there was marked not only by academic achievement but by the lifelong friendships he forged. Ever the social soul, he filled every room with laughter and light, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to cross his path. A lover of nature, Christopher found solace and joy in the great outdoors. His hobbies included camping, hiking, kayaking, and the gentle art of gardening. These passions were more than just pastimes; they were expressions of his awe for the world and his desire to commune with its beauty. Christopher's personal life was enriched by the love and companionship of his husband and partner of 19 years, Thomas (TJ) M. Devaney, Jr. They celebrated their union in marriage on September 1, 2025, surrounded by family and friends who bore witness to their deep and abiding love. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and the pitter-patter of paws from their beloved fur babies. Christopher is survived by his devoted husband, TJ, his cherished brothers Robby and Jason Adams, and his adored nephews and niece, Taylor, Garrett, Wyatt, and Sydney Adams. His extended family, including his grandmother, Grace Halter, and countless friends such as Mark Murphy and Alex Schempp, continue to embody the love and light he shared with the world. A service to honor and celebrate Christopher's life will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, located at 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, OH 45056. Here, those who knew and loved him will gather to remember a life lived with purpose, love, and extraordinary kindness. Christopher's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful and caring staff who supported them through this journey. Their compassionate care provided comfort and dignity, allowing Christopher to spend his final days surrounded by love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity that supports cancer research or nature conservation, causes close to Christopher's heart. Christopher Bandon Adams was a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty he cherished so dearly.
