In Loving Memory

Christopher Armes
March 26, 1982 — October 19, 2026
Christopher Armes, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2026. Born on March 26, 1982, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Christopher was a beacon of warmth and joy to everyone who knew him. His life, though not long enough for those who loved him, was filled with laughter, kindness, and a deep commitment to his family and community.
Graduating from Arlington High School in 2001, Christopher continued his education at Ivy Tech College in Indianapolis, where he nurtured his passion for engineering. His dedication to his craft led him to a fulfilling 20-year career as a mechanical engineer at Ford Motor Company. In his professional life, Christopher was not only respected for his technical skills but also cherished for his role as a mentor to young men, guiding them with patience and wisdom.
Christopher was the cherished son of Travis Armes Sr. and Kimberly Johnson. He shared a deep bond with his siblings, Travis Armes Jr., Jermaine Armes, and Tasha Armes, with whom he spent countless Saturdays playing basketball — a tradition that brought joy and camaraderie to their lives. His love for sports was only rivaled by his love for his family and friends, with whom he spent every possible moment.
Christopher's sweet smile and infectious personality lit up every room he entered. He had a remarkable ability to bring people together with his jokes and playful pranks, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His spirit of joy and generosity was a gift to all who knew him.
At the heart of Christopher's world was his beloved wife, Keisha Radford, and their two children, Christopher Armes Jr. and Christina Armes. His family was his pride and joy, and he dedicated himself to creating a home filled with love and laughter. Though his grandchildren and great-grandchildren are yet to be, his legacy of warmth and humor will undoubtedly live on through future generations.
A service to celebrate Christopher's life will be held on October 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1301 N Goodlet, Indianapolis, Indiana. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the remarkable life of a man who gave so much to those he loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Christopher's memory to a charity of choice, reflecting the spirit of generosity and community that he embodied throughout his life. Christopher Armes will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy of love, laughter, and mentorship will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
