Christopher Anton Tompkins, known to many as Chris, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a life lived with purpose. Born on December 10, 1986, in Detroit, Michigan, Chris brought immense joy to those around him with his infectious smile and remarkable ability to make everyone feel at ease. Chris's journey through life was marked by a profound love for his family, who he cherished deeply. He is survived by his devoted wife, Angela, and his beloved children, Christopher Wilson, Lauren Wilson (Mike), and Kaitlyn Haith. His legacy of kindness and humor will live on through his grandchildren, Addisyn, McKinsleigh, Bodie, Raven, Michael, and Justice, who brought tremendous joy to his life. Chris is also survived by his two sisters, two brothers, and a multitude of nieces and nephews, each of whom he held dear. He shared a special bond with his close friends, Patrick & Christy and their family, and Johnny & Carol and their family, who were like extended family to him. Chris had a passion for working on cars, a hobby that brought him immense satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment. His love for cars was more than just a pastime; it was a reflection of his dedication and attention to detail. Whether he was under the hood of a car or sharing a laugh with friends, Chris's presence was always a source of joy and positivity. Known for being the life of the party, he never met a stranger and had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. While Chris's grandmother, whom he loved dearly, predeceased him, her spirit continued to guide him throughout his life. Chris's family finds comfort in knowing that they are now reunited. In accordance with the family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held on May 2, 2026, where his life will be celebrated by those closest to him. In this time of sorrow, the family extends their heartfelt appreciation for all the calls, visits, and offered condolences. They ask that you remember Chris for the caring, compassionate, and funny person that he was. As we reflect on the moments shared with Chris, we are reminded of the words, "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it is a memory." Chris's moments with us were cherished, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
