It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of Christine Henry, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend. Christine departed this world while in her sleep on April 12, 2026, at the age of 59. She was born on February 16, 1967, in the warm embrace of Galveston, Texas, a place she always called home. Christine was the treasured daughter of John and Erica Henry, who instilled in her the values of kindness, resilience, and love that she carried throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Jerry Henry, her son, Preston Henry, her dear aunt, Erica Williams, and her best friend, Jeff Roberts. Despite these heart-wrenching losses, Christine's spirit remained unyielding and filled with love, a testament to her enduring strength and grace. Christine is survived by her devoted extended family, including Heather Hines, her loving husband, Timothy Hines, and their children, Timothy Hines III and Hillary Hines. She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and the great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored deeply. They were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her family was the center of her universe, and her nurturing spirit will continue to guide them in the days and years to come. Christine had a gift for making those around her feel special. She had an incredible talent for braiding hair, an art she practiced with patience and precision, often while sharing stories and laughter with her grandchildren. Her presence was a beacon of joy and warmth, lighting up every room she entered with her infectious smile and gentle spirit. A celebration of Christine’s life will be held on April 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Church of the Living God, located at 3315 7 Mile Road, Galveston, TX 77554. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor her remarkable journey, sharing memories and offering comfort to one another. Christine's legacy is a tapestry of love, woven with the threads of kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion. She leaves behind a world made brighter by her presence and a family eternally grateful for her boundless love. While our hearts ache with the void of her absence, we find solace in knowing that she rests peacefully, reunited with those she loved so dearly. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to a charity of your choice in Christine's memory, continuing her legacy of love and giving. Rest in peace, dear Christine. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
