It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Elizabeth Christen on July 6, 2026. Christine departed this world peacefully in her sleep, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength. Born on November 27, 1967, in Metairie, Christine was the beloved daughter of Jacquelyn Murphy Christen and George Bennie Christen Sr. Her mother's gentle spirit and her father's unwavering dedication were evident in every aspect of Christine's life. Christine was a devoted mother to her cherished twin daughters, Katelynn and Katie, who were the center of her world. Her nurturing spirit and warm embrace were constants in their lives, and her love will continue to guide them through all their days. As a grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren (Layla Belanger, Jason Belanger III, Wrenley Pansano), Christine's heart expanded with joy and pride. Though she is now reunited with her dear granddaughter, Adalynn Rose Belanger, & her mother, Jacquelyn Christen, and in heaven, we know her love will forever surround her family. Christine is also survived by her loving father, George Christen Sr., who has been a pillar of strength and wisdom, and her brother, George Christen Jr., with whom she shared countless memories with. Christine's life was a testament to kindness and compassion. She was a beacon of hope for many, always offering a listening ear and a comforting word. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her, and her love & kidness will continue to inspire others to be the same way. A celebration of Christine's life will be held at Garden of Memories in Metairie, LA on July 17th, 2026 10am to 12pm. Where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and tears, honoring the incredible woman she was and the indelible mark she leaves on our hearts. Christine Elizabeth Christen will be forever missed but never forgotten. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved and in the many lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
