March 31, 1966 — October 31, 2026

Christine "Chrissy" Kaye Ledford, a cherished resident of Oxford, Maryland, passed away on October 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and community spirit. Born on March 31, 1966, Christine was the beloved daughter of the late Alvin and Patricia Ledford. Her journey through life was enriched by her deep bonds with family and friends, and her vibrant personality left an indelible mark on all who knew her. A proud graduate of Easton High School's class of 1984, Christine embarked on a varied and fulfilling career. She initially made her mark as a logistics coordinator with Preston Trucking, where she demonstrated her remarkable organizational skills until the company closed. Christine's adaptability and resilience led her to a second career in the car repossession business. However, it was her role at the Oxford Market that truly captured her heart. Working in the town she grew up in and adored, Christine often delighted in reminding everyone that while the Market may not have been hers, the town of Oxford certainly was. Christine's love for her family was unparalleled. She is survived by sisters Theresa and Barbara Ledford as well as herfavorite sibling, her cherished baby brother Mark "Markie" Ledford, followed by her 2 sons, Randall "Bubba" Mohr and Jacob Lomax, daughter Katie Mohr and six treasured grandchildren who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Her parents, Alvin and Patricia, who predeceased her, were the cornerstone of Christine's independent and courageous approach to life. Known for her fun-loving nature, Christine had an infectious energy that lit up every room. She loved to dance, laugh, and create joyful memories with her friends, children, and extended family. Her warmth and humor will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. In keeping with her family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. To honor Christine’s memory, a celebration of her life will take place at the Oxford Fire Company Banquet Hall on December 12th, with specific details to be announced. Donations in support of this celebration can be arranged through the forthcoming Celebration of Life fundraiser for Chrissy. Christine's spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of Oxford, a place she loved deeply. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and joy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
