Christina Ann Threlkeld Whetstine
July 20, 1980 — April 6, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Christina Ann Threlkeld Whetstine, who left this world unexpectedly on April 6, 2026, at the age of 45. Born on July 20, 1980, in the serene city of Lakewood, Colorado, Christina was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend whose radiant spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Christina was the cherished daughter of Sharon and the late Charles Threlkeld. Her father, Charles, preceded her in death, and she is now reunited with him in eternal peace. Her joyful presence and nurturing spirit live on through her mother Sharon, her devoted husband Caleb, her loving sons Brayden and Dylan, and her supportive brothers Dane and Doug. Christina's kindness and laughter will also be remembered fondly by her nieces Taylor, Lauren, and Katey, and her nephew Spencer. She is also mourned by her extended family and countless friends who were touched by her genuine warmth and compassion.
A proud alumna of Green Mountain High School, Christina graduated in 1998, leaving an indelible mark on those she encountered with her sweet giggle and compassionate heart. Her life journey led her to Caleb Whetstine, with whom she shared 18 wonderful years of marriage. Their union, sealed on October 3, 2008, in the heart of Colorado, was a testament to true partnership, filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising their two sons.
Christina's life was a tapestry woven with vibrant threads of spontaneity, support, and loyalty. She delighted in the simple yet profound pleasures of life: cooking for her family, sharing laughter-filled moments with friends, and embracing the great outdoors through camping adventures. More recently, she found solace and joy in the practice of yoga, which became a cherished part of her routine.
Her essence was a blend of care and understanding, humor and intelligence, which she generously shared with those around her. Christina's capacity for love and her genuine nature made her a safe harbor for many, and her bright presence illuminated even the darkest of days. Her sudden departure has left a void that can never be filled, but her legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In accordance with her family's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Christina's life and legacy. For those who wish to support her family during this difficult time, a memorial fund has been established in her name at https://gofund.me/33ebd2125.
Though Christina's time with us was far too brief, her impact was immeasurable. As we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, we find comfort in the memories that will forever reside in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Christina, knowing you were deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
