It is with profound sadness and a heart full of cherished memories that we announce the passing of our beloved Christie Wilson, who departed this life on May 14, 2026, after a short illness. Born on September 29, 1955, in the vibrant city of Forrest City, AR, Christie was a beacon of love and strength to all who knew her. Her journey was marked by devotion to her family and her faith. Christie was the cherished daughter of the late Rosie and Herman Williams. She was predeceased by her parents, Rosie and Herman Williams, and her beloved sisters, Elizabeth and Sheila Williams. In their memory, Christie carried a legacy of kindness and resilience, which she imparted to her own family. In January 1974, Christie married the love of her life, Terry Wilson, and together they built a beautiful family. She was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Ericka (married to Clyde Tucker, Jr.), Avonne, and Kimberly (married to Marcus Lewis). Christie’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, Simeo Jordan, Haley Rounds, Xavier Tucker, Sr., Kyia Polk, Kenyon Lewis, and Christopher D. Francis, and her nine great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her spirit within their hearts. She is also survived by her siblings, Melvin, Pamela Gossett, Perry, Sharon, and Keith, and a host of nieces and nephews who cherished their Aunt Trish deeply. Christie was an active and passionate member of the Rockford, IL chapter of The Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and her interactions with others. Known for her bold personality, she was generous and unwavering in her support of the causes she believed in. Away from her family commitments, Christie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved fishing, spending serene hours by the water, and tending to her garden, where she cultivated not just plants, but also lasting memories with her loved ones. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, creating cherished moments of love and laughter. A service to honor and celebrate Christie's remarkable life will be held at 1:00 PM on June 5, 2026, at Carl E. Pond's Funeral Home, located at 200 N. Johnston Ave., Rockford, IL 61101. Family and friends are invited to join us as we pay tribute to a life that has left an indelible mark on our hearts. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Mercy Hospital-Javon Bea and Carl E. Pond's Funeral Home for their exceptional care and support during this difficult time. Christie Wilson’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to walk this journey with her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her spirit continue to guide and inspire us all.
