In loving memory of Kristie Vonee Harris, who graced this world with her presence on September 22, 1982, in Hope, Arkansas, and departed peacefully on August 6, 2026, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Kristie was the cherished daughter of Gwendolyn Harris, and the late Freddie Hamilton, who instilled in her the values of love and compassion. She was a beloved sister to Corey Hendrix of Texarkana, Eric Elliott and his wife Jennifer of Nashville, and Detron Haney of Oklahoma City. Her extended family included her devoted aunts Patricia Haney of Nashville, Mary Hill Jefferson, and Jacquelyn Velcoff of Laurel, MS; her uncles Jerry Harris of Mineral Springs, and Eddie Harris of Nashville. Christie also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who filled her life with joy and laughter.
Educated at Nashville High School, where she graduated in 2001, Kristie was a beacon of light to everyone who knew her. Her radiant smile was her hallmark, able to brighten the darkest of days and bring warmth to those around her. Kristie was an active and devoted member of Williams Temple of Nashville, AR, where she joined under the leadership of Bishop Mickey D. Lofton. Her faith and involvement in her church were a testament to her enduring spirit and love for her community.Kristie found immense joy in spending time with her family and friends, whether it was shopping, enjoying picnics, or gathering for family dinners. Her life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was the embodiment of kindness and generosity, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was predeceased by her father, Freddie Hamilton, her grandparents Rev. J.N. Harris and Mrs. Annie Boozer Harris, her cousin Darrian Harris, and her special cousin Torron Haney. Though she leaves this world without children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren, her legacy of love and kindness will live on through the countless lives she touched.
