Christene Mae Zentz Noll
March 24, 1959 — April 7, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived that we announce the passing of Christene Mae Zentz Noll, who departed this world on April 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Christene was born on March 24, 1959, in Billings, Montana, to Clifford Wayne Zentz and Sybil Mae Dehrer, who preceded her in death, along with her beloved brother, Jeffrey Zentz.
Christene, lovingly known as Chris, was a beacon of joy and kindness whose presence could light up any room. She spent her early years in Billings, where she attended Canyon Creek Elementary School through the eighth grade, Riverside Junior High in ninth grade, and graduated from Billings West High School in 1977. Her thirst for knowledge led her to the University of Montana, where she studied from 1977 to 1979.
In 1986, Christene’s life took a joyful turn when she married the love of her life, W. Theodore Noll. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Her professional journey began with A & E Architects in Billings, where she worked for seven years. Chris then embarked on a remarkable 26-year career as a flight attendant with Continental/United Airlines, where her warm smile and caring nature touched countless lives.
A woman of diverse talents and interests, Christene was a skilled horsewoman who cherished her pets, including cats and dogs. Her creativity shone through in her adeptness as a seamstress, crafting clothes, stuffed animals for her cherished nieces and nephews, and numerous household items. Chris also had a green thumb, cultivating a beautiful garden, and was known for her culinary delights.
In her retirement, Chris embraced her gregarious spirit and became involved in theatre production in Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington. Her vibrant personality and readiness to have fun at the drop of a hat endeared her to friends and family alike.
Christene is survived by her devoted sisters, Debra Doyle and Marlene Zentz, her brother Patrick (Suzie) Zentz, and a loving extended family of four nieces and three nephews. The family extends their deepest gratitude to Debra Doyle for her unwavering and loving care during the final months of Christene’s life.
Though her time with us was all too brief, Christene Mae Zentz Noll leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and light. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we remember Christene, let us carry forward the joy and compassion she so effortlessly shared with the world.
A celebration of Christene's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and love for all living beings.
Rest in peace, dear Chris. You will be missed but never forgotten.
