It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chris Rogers, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. Chris peacefully departed this world on August 12, 2026, at his home, embraced by the warmth and love of his family. Born on July 11, 1959, in Sevierville, TN, Chris lived a life rich in love, laughter, and dedication to those he cherished.
Chris was the cherished son of Betty Rogers and the late William Rogers. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Joshua Rogers, and his father, William Rogers. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lynn Rogers, whom he married on September 16, 1990, in Knoxville. Together, Chris and Lynn cultivated a nurturing environment, raising their children with an abundance of love and support.
He is also survived by his loving son, Blake Rogers, partner Linda Flores, and his treasured grandchild, Trinity Rogers, who brought immense joy to his life. His surviving family includes his mother, Betty Rogers, and his brothers, Leonard Rogers and Doug Rogers, with whom he shared countless cherished memories.
Chris dedicated 35 years of his professional life to Bull Run, where he excelled as a CNC machine operator before rising to the position of supervisor. His commitment to his work was mirrored by his dedication to his family and community.
Outside of his professional life, Chris was an avid motorcyclist, who found freedom and joy on the open road, logging thousands of miles each year. He had a passion for gardening, particularly tending to his vegetable garden, and was known for generously sharing his home-grown tomatoes with neighbors. Chris was also a skilled woodworker, crafting beautiful furniture pieces for his children, which will remain as enduring tributes to his talent and love.
A private funeral ceremony will be held in accordance with the family's wishes. Those wishing to honor Chris's memory may do so by making donations to a charity or organization of their choice in his name.
Chris Rogers will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his gentle spirit, and the kindness he extended to all who knew him. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones, through the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.
