In Loving Memory

Chris Lewis
January 28, 1982 — May 17, 2026
It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Chris Lewis, a cherished father, devoted brother, and loving son. Chris was born on January 28, 1982, in the heart of Mississippi, and left this world far too soon on May 17, 2026. His departure has left an indelible void in the lives of those who knew him, yet his memory will forever remain vivid and cherished.
Chris was the beloved son of James Lewis, and he grew up surrounded by the warmth of his family, alongside his brothers, James Lewis Jr., Robbie Lewis, Edward Lewis, Thomas Lewis III, and Jeremiah Dunn. He was a pillar of strength and support, always looking out for his younger brothers and the people he held dear. His role as a brother was one marked by love, laughter, and an unyielding bond that will be cherished eternally.
A proud graduate of South Pike High School, Chris went on to carve out a successful career as the owner of his own flatbed 18-wheeler, a venture he passionately pursued for 13 remarkable years. His work was more than just a job; it was a testament to his dedication, resilience, and the pride he took in providing for his family.
Chris's life was enriched by the simple joys of spending time with his family and the freedom he found in driving. Whether he was on the road or at home, Chris's heart was always full. He loved sharing stories, teaching those around him, or simply enjoying a drink accompanied by hearty laughter. His infectious smile and warm presence would light up any room, leaving everyone feeling a little bit happier and more connected.
The most cherished role of Chris's life was that of a father to his beloved son, Ke’jarius Lewis. His love for Ke’jarius was boundless, and he took immense pride in watching his son grow, guiding him with wisdom and heart. Chris's legacy will live on through Ke’jarius, in every lesson imparted and every memory shared.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Chris's life, allowing those closest to him the opportunity to celebrate his journey and bid farewell in an intimate setting. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and kindness during this difficult time, helping them send their beloved brother, son, and father on his walk to the beginning of his new journey.
Though Chris's life was tragically cut short, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you honor Chris by carrying forward his legacy of laughter, love, and unwavering support for those you hold dear.
